Forge House - Full House Renovation
Rockwood Building Services Ltd carried out a major renovation and first‑floor redevelopment at Forge House, including the full removal of the existing roof and construction of a completely new upper level. To allow the clients to remain living in parts of the home throughout the build, the project began with the installation of a full weatherproof “tin hat” scaffold system, ensuring safety and uninterrupted progress.
The works included raising the existing masonry walls, forming new first‑floor structural areas, and building a new roof that incorporates additional living space. The redesigned first floor now features a master bedroom with ensuite, three further bedrooms, and two bathrooms, all finished to modern standards while respecting the character of the property.
New floor structures were installed throughout, complete with underfloor heating, along with bespoke grand staircases connecting the upgraded levels. Ground‑floor improvements included a new WC and cloakroom, plus associated plumbing, electrical, and finishing works.
This project showcases Rockwood’s ability to deliver complex structural renovations, heritage‑sensitive construction, and high‑quality craftsmanship while maintaining safe, functional living conditions for the homeowners.
