Low Catton – Kitchen Extension

This large property on Low Catton Road originally had a small, dated kitchen that no longer suited modern family living. John and Jane asked Rockwood Building Services to transform the space and create a bright, open, and functional area for cooking, dining, and relaxing.

The project involved a full 15‑metre knockthrough, opening up the rear of the house to form one continuous kitchen, dining, and living space. Structural steelwork was installed to support the new layout, allowing for wide, uninterrupted sightlines and a seamless flow between each zone.

With the extended footprint, the new kitchen now features generous workspace, improved natural light, and a layout designed for everyday use as well as entertaining. The finished space feels modern, spacious, and connected — a complete transformation from the original enclosed rooms.
