Ovington Terrace – Dual Rear Extension Project
Project Overview
Our long‑time client, Luke Chamberlain, contacted us to provide a quote for a rear extension at his home on Ovington Terrace. During our initial meeting, he mentioned that his neighbour, Jenny, was also considering a similar extension. After discussing the details with both households, we suggested a combined approach: constructing both extensions at the same time.
Why a Combined Build Made Sense
Building the two extensions together offered several advantages:
Shared party wall – reducing overall construction costs for both clients
Larger usable extension footprint – by coordinating the layout and structure
Less disruption – one construction period instead of two separate builds
Improved efficiency – streamlined planning, materials, and labour
Both Luke and Jenny agreed that this approach would give them better value and a stronger final result, so we put plans in motion.
Our Role
We handled the full process from start to finish, including:
Site assessment and design discussions
Coordinating plans for both properties
Managing building regulations and approvals
Constructing both rear extensions simultaneously
Ensuring tidy, respectful work throughout the project
Outcome
The dual extension build was completed smoothly, on schedule, and with excellent results for both neighbours. By working together, Luke and Jenny gained spacious, modern rear extensions while saving money and reducing disruption — a great example of how smart planning can benefit everyone involve
Client Testimonial
Luke Chamberlain
“We’ve used Lee for years, so we knew the extension would be in safe hands. When he suggested coordinating the build with our neighbour, it made perfect sense — it saved us money and the whole process was much smoother than we expected. The workmanship is spot on and the new space has completely transformed our home.”
Jenny
“I wasn’t sure where to start with planning an extension, but Lee made everything straightforward from day one. Teaming up with Luke for the shared wall was a brilliant idea and the results speak for themselves. Professional, tidy, and genuinely easy to work with.”
